Bayern Munich thrash Augsburg 4-1, Kane, Sané score for England

Bayer Munich have ended their five-match winless run with a 4-1 victory over Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon. The Bavarians were dominant throughout and took control early on thanks to goals from Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane.

Gnabry opened the scoring in the 25th minute when he found space on the right-hand side and curled a perfect shot into the bottom corner. The goal was just the start of a dominant first half for Bayern who went into the break with a 2-0 lead.

The second half saw Bayern continue to dominate as they increased their lead through two more goals from Sane and Robert Lewandowski. The German striker added his fourth goal of the season with a well-taken finish after being played through by the impressive Julian Draxler.

Augsburg's best chance came in the 87th minute when a long ball forward found the feet of Stefan Savić but his shot was blocked by Benjamin Pavard. However, it didn't matter as Bayern were able to hold on for a comfortable victory.

It's been a difficult few weeks for England manager Gareth Southgate and his team have now suffered three defeats in their last four games. However, Harry Kane and Jadon Sané both scored in the 4-1 defeat of Augsburg and showed that they can still be relied upon in big matches.

Kane has been in excellent form this season and is currently top scorer in the Premier League with six goals. His goal against Augsburg was a reminder of why he is such a prolific goal scorer and he'll be looking to continue his good form in the coming months.

Sané also had a very impressive game for England and could well feature again in upcoming international fixtures. He was one of the standout players on the pitch and showed why he is so important to Manchester City and Germany.
